Dorf-Ketal Chemicals India Limited was incorporated as Dorf-Ketal Chemicals India Private Limited' on May 12, 1992, as a Private Company issued by the Assistant Registrar of Companies, Maharashtra at Mumbai. Subsequently, Company status was converted into a Public Limited Company and the name was changed to Dorf-Ketal Chemicals India Limited' via fresh certified Incorporated on September 2, 2024 by the RoC. 

Company provide speciality chemicals for hydrocarbons and industrial speciality chemicals. The Company acquired Refining Chemical Business in year 2001. In 2007, it acquired the business of lubricant component additives. In 2009, it acquired production of organometallic titanates and zirconates. In 2010, it acquired the business of organic titanates, poly vinyl formal and poly iso cyanates. In 2017, the erstwhile wholly owned subsidiaries of the Company, namely, Dorf Ketal Speciality Catalyst Private Limited, Sudha Organics Private Limited, Perfect Scales Company Private Limited and Filtra Catalysts and Chemicals Limited got amalgamated with the Company and the Scheme became effective on August 21, 2017 with the Registrar of Companies. 

The Company acquired the manufacturing and processing business of OBA, Chemicals, Dyes, Pigments on account of acquiring Khyati Chemicals Private Limited in 2022. In 2023, it acquired Clariant's North American Land Oil Business through subsidiaries, via Dorf Ketal Energy Services LLC, Dorf Ketal Energy Services Ltd and Dorf Ketal Chemicals LLC.

Further, the Company acquired Fluid Energy Group's global modified and Synthetic Acid Business. In 2024, the Company has acquired the business of manufacturing and trading Chemicals and Chemical Compounds on account of acquiring Elixir Soltek Private Limited and further acquired Proprietary Speciality Chemicals. 

Company is planning an Initial Public Issue by raising funds aggregating upto Rs 5000 Cr Equity Shares of Rs 5 each comprising a fresh issue of Rs 1500 Cr equity shares and Rs 3500 Cr equity shares through offer for sale.
