Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has informed BSE that the Shareholders of the Company at their meeting held on January 20, 2010, as per the directions of the Hon'ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabad, have approved the Scheme of Amalgamation between Trident Life Sciences Ltd. (a wholly owned subsidiary of Aurobindo Pharma Ltd.) and Aurobindo Pharma Ltd and their respective Shareholders. With reference to the earlier announcement dated November 13, 2009 regarding the Scheme of Amalgamation of Trident Life Sciences Ltd with Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. and their respective Shareholders, Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has now informed BSE that as directed by the Hon'ble High Court of Judicature of Andhra Pradesh at Hyderabad by its Order dated February 19, 2010, the Company, on February 24, 2010, has published the notice in News Papers of the date of hearing of the petition on March 19, 2010 for the sanction of the Scheme of Amalgamation of Trident Life Sciences Ltd. with Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. and their respective Shareholders. (As Per BSE Announcement Dated on 24/02/2010) Aurobindo Pharma Ltd has informed BSE that pursuant to the approval of the Hon'ble High Court of Andhra Pradesh to the Scheme of Amalgamation of Trident Life Sciences Ltd., wholly owned subsidiary with Aurobindo Pharma Ltd. Further the Company has informed that, the Scheme of Amalgamation is made effective on April 29, 2010.
